In the green heart of Umbria, in Deruta, a town known worldwide for its ceramic art, a short walk from Assisi, Perugia, Todi and Spoleto, stands L'Antico Forziere. A restaurant and country house, it is a medieval farmhouse considered by the Umbria region a rural heritage site of the area. In a warm, calm atmosphere, the Rodella family welcomes guests in the ancient building and in the elegant dining room, where exposed beams and wide stone arches create evocative feelings. The summer terrace, ideal for ceremonies, candlelit lunches or dinners, and the large garden, rich in flowers and scents, frame the panoramic pool overlooking the wide Tiber river valley. The country house has two split-level suites with independent access to the garden and seven rooms furnished with careful attention to detail. The suite, unlike the other rooms, is more spacious and has, within the same room, the double bed on a large wooden loft and, on the lower level, a small sitting room with sofa bed, the bathroom and an independent exit to the garden. Every room has air conditioning, minibar, TV, free Wi-Fi connection, safe and bathroom with hairdryer. In the restaurant, the culinary offering by the (twin) Chefs, Stefano and Andrea Rodella, starts from traditional products but stands out and shines through creativity and imagination, earning mentions in the Gambero Rosso and Michelin guides. Open all year round.
