Five days of workshops, games and talks for children and families in Piazza Martiri della Libertà in Teramo, with a full schedule of entirely gluten-free workshops run by Me Gusta Mas.
Description
Taste for Kids returns to Teramo for its second edition: from 14 to 18 October 2026, Piazza Martiri della Libertà hosts five days for children and families, packed with workshops, games, discovery activities and talks on food, sport, the environment and prevention. The event is organised by the association I diti in pasta to promote healthy eating habits, well-being and sustainability through hands-on activities where children take centre stage. The Taste Workshops include a dedicated, entirely gluten-free schedule run by Me Gusta Mas, a gluten-free ice cream and pastry shop from Abruzzo: pizza parties, biscuit decorating, Halloween-themed witch fingers and spooky biscuits, chocolate truffles, cake pops and cookies, build-your-own sandwiches and a first gluten-free pizza. A chance for children with coeliac disease to get their hands in the dough alongside everyone else. Gluten-free workshop schedule: Wednesday 14 October: 9:30 am "Pizza party"; 11:00 am "Detective quiz" Thursday 15 October: 9:30 am "Witch fingers - Waiting for Halloween"; 11:00 am "Spooky biscuits - Waiting for Halloween" Friday 16 October: 9:30 am "One bite leads to another - Truffles"; 11:00 am "Cake pops and cookies" Saturday 17 October: 10:30 am and 12:30 pm "Pizza party"; 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm "Gluten free explained"; 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm "Biscuit identikit" Sunday 18 October: 10:00 am "Let's build our sandwich"; 12:00 pm "Detective quiz"; 2:30 pm, 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm "My first tasty gluten-free pizza" The rest of the programme is split into three tracks. In the Taste Workshops, nutritionists, pastry chefs and cooks offer tartlets, biscuits, rainbow flatbreads, extra virgin olive oil, pulses and smoothies. Nature at Play brings the University of Teramo, the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, Abruzzo beekeepers and the pottery workshop of the Liceo Artistico Grue in Castelli to the square. Well-being and Prevention features rugby, road safety with ACI Teramo and posture games. There is plenty for grown-ups too: on Wednesday 14 at 5:30 pm, in the courtyard of the Biblioteca Delfico, the talk "Food that nourishes, sport that educates" with artistic swimming world champion Giorgio Minisini; on Thursday 15 at 5:30 pm, at the State Archives, the presentation of Paride Vitale's book "Ancora d'amore e d'Abruzzo". On Friday 16 at 4:30 pm there is Laughter Yoga for children, while on Saturday and Sunday talks for mothers and parents take place at Puro Caffetteria Bistrot, all by reservation.
