Tenuta di Roccadia is a farmhouse in Carlentini, in the province of Syracuse, in southeastern Sicily, set within a 14-hectare area of Mediterranean scrub, an ideal place to spend a holiday in complete relaxation, a short distance from major tourist and cultural centers such as Catania, Syracuse, Noto, Modica, Caltagirone and Ragusa. Comiso Airport and Catania's Bellini Airport are also nearby, making the facility very easy to reach. In 1070 the property was donated by Count Roger of Hauteville to the Cistercians, who turned it into a monastery. The facility comes to us after a renovation phase that emphasized the distinctly rustic character typical of the island. This rustic character is particularly evident in the rooms, dominated by wrought iron, folk art and stone walls. Elements that create a very warm, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms, double and twin with the option of an extra bed on request, have a private bathroom, air conditioning and heating, and Wi-Fi connection also available throughout the rest of the facility. This typically Sicilian rustic character also shows in the kitchen. At the facility's restaurant you can enjoy tasty, genuine dishes cooked with fresh, genuine ingredients, some produced on the farm itself, such as the meat and wines. At Tenuta di Roccadia, guests can also immerse themselves in a typically rural atmosphere, "living" among the farm's activities and in contact with the animals present. This is what distinguishes the educational farm.
